For the most part, the winter of 2016 has been a mild one in our corner of Pennsylvania- but it started off with a bang in late January, when Mother Nature dumped almost 32 inches of snow on the Lehigh Valley in one weekend! The blizzard of 2016 began on a Friday evening and ended on Sunday.
 My car nearly disappeared during the blizzard of 2016! | The storm created a winter wonderland. Schools were closed for a few days early in the week that followed, and local kids had lots of the fluffy white stuff to play in on their days off. It was not good "packing" snow, though. Not good for making snowballs and snowmen. |
No matter- all that beautiful snow inspired my students at Blue Church Art to create snowmen (and snow women) on paper.
