Early morning at the Lake

Early morning at the Lake![]() Northern Wayne Community Library Lucky me gets to spend my summers living in the idyllic northeast corner of Pennsylvania. There are 18 lakes in the township where I’m living, and our summer home overlooks one of them. In the village nearby there’s a wonderful little library that is a gathering place for locals and summer people. Each summer I volunteer to teach a 3-day children’s art workshop in the library. I’ve met lots of great people through the summer art lessons, and have enjoyed helping the kids produce some awesome artwork. ![]() This summer the kids painted subjects that are familiar in this area: water lilies, bullfrogs, colorful spring and fall trees, and the Great Blue Heron. One young lady painted cupcakes! Here are some of Meredith's beautiful photos, taken at the lake: I’ll miss the lake and all of my friends here when I return to Coopersburg in September~ but it will be great to see my talented students at Blue Church Art again when the art classes resume in a few weeks!
