The red panda (also called the lesser panda) was once classified as a member of the bear family- but more recent genetic research now has them in their own family, called ailuridae. Like the giant black and white pandas, red pandas mostly eat bamboo. This cute little fellow is licking his lips after a delicious bamboo meal!
